rear lower control arm


im trying to replace my rearend, ive got everything removed but cant get the bolt out of the control arm that conects to the rear axle, ive tried wiggling the control arm and loosining the bolt and tapping it with a hammer and it still wont move, any suggestions would be awsome, thanks

Heat !!! Sounds like the control arms inner bushing is rusted to the bolt . Get yourself a torch or a bottle of Map gas at home depot . Map gas burns much hotter than propane torches and will get the bolt cherry red . Granted not as quickly as oxy ascetyleen ( spelling haha ) torches , but will work none the less . Then plan on buying a new control arm .... cuz the bushing is gonna get waisted . WHich it probably is anyway ..

I've done it this way, and I've had luck using a long pry-bar between the head of the bolt & the bracket.

i used an air hammer on my front control arms

1000ft-lb impact gun wouldnt get the bolts-out
