Surface Rust, inside around Sunroof area, where the headliner was

More Surface Rust

Bondo'd that area now Leak Free

A Piece of Sheet Metal that I fabbed up in that area, since a piece of the Sunroof "Lip" where the weather stripping sits on, a chunk of the metal was rotted off so I had to use Sheet metal.

Another Shot of surface Rust

Well the people who have seen my other pics working on the outside area of the sunroof, here are the pics of the inside of it.. I've seen worse, but if I don't act on it now, it can be a nightmare... Hence it's a project.

Now instead of chopping off a roof from another fox and spending a shit load of money that I don't have to weld a new roof on, or buying another fox/roller, what would be the most effective but yet least expensive way of fixing this? Anyone have any expertese in this or have any suggestions. I Greatly appreciate it guys and gals.. praise2

Well to be honest, A few months ago.. I thought about using a sheet of metal to go over on top where the sunroof is, and rivot it in then grind down the rivots so there flush, then cover it up in bondo and go from there.. but wasn't sure about it.. as far as glue, I don't think thats a good Idea, plus I'm sure you were just joking about that.. LOL But not a bad Idea I guess, minus the glue. bret

no seriously.....glue a 22 gauge paice of metal on there.....crimp the roof edge so it is flush and u can practicly have no filler at all.....yes i said glue....the glue is stronger than welding in most cases

i belive carquest that sells body reapir materials should have it.....make sure both pieces of metal are ground clean, stuff works well and will not rust out like welded metal that heat burns off paint. do not use body filler over it must be cleaned first body filler will not stick to it. I use the lord fusor 110B

I thought about that as well.. but wouldn't know where to start, plus I don't know how to weld, unfortunatly.. I wish I knew cuz then Id be all set. I'm assuming getting the glass for the T-tops would be a mission to track down.
