should be fairly easy.....f150 manifold bolts can suck but thats hsould be the worst of it....and if your short like me at 5'6 your knees will take a toll being on the radiator support for 4 hours

Cover the lifter valley and cylinders with rags while you clean the deck surface . Don"t let any debree or parts fall into the engine !! ..LOL !! Make sure all surfaces are real clean before they go back together ... I use break clean and an air hose . Also make sure the factory head bolts are not TTY type bolts . You will have to buy new ones if they are . Mark and tag anything that you won't remember where it goes . Always use a torque wrench ... and double .. triple check everything as you go . That way you only have to do it once !! Good Luck !!

what Scotty is saying is stock ford head bolts stretch the 1st time u torque them. they are basicly use em once and throw em away, u can get a set of arp head bolts for like 40-50$ bucks and u can reuse them forever, comes with a nice little packet of assmebly lube too. but ya definalty run a tap through the block where all the head bolts go itll save u trouble during assembly and if the wholes are clean u know your gettin a good torque reading. Also put a little bit of oil underneath the head of the bolt so when your torquing it, it doesnt bind against the head. Also where ever u see a head bolt going into a waterjacket, such as all the lower ones (shorter bolts) use sum thread sealant on those bolts, the last thing u want is coolan seeping through

SOunds good fellas. I will go and get some arp bolts then. I d also use rags and compressed air and a vacum as well. I'm hoping my stock heads are ok, I'll find out when I get them off.
