problems with ignition or fuel?

im having some problems with my car. when im driving it will intermittently cut out completely like the ignition is turned off pr it is out of gas. sometimes it gets so bad i think i need to pull over but it has yet to strand me. it flashes the MIL when it is having the issues but as soon as i bring it to the shop and scan codes i have no history codes. under koer self test it comes up with code 41. i just swapped a lower mile engine in. the only thing changed was a different distributor because mine went missing, i have 24lb inj with a stock meter. thats about all i changed. car runs awesome when its not doing this ....its a 1990.

24lb injectors with a stock meter could be a place to start, the air meter should be matched to your injectors

check your grounds. make sure there is a ground from bat to box, and a ground in near the rear of the fuel rail to the block. and make sure the area where your grounds are aren't painted.
