The Start of body work progress pics

Here are some pics I took yesterday on 8-9-08. This is where it all starts and I will continue to take more pics as the the project progresses. I started off doing some body work around the sunroof area as it was the area that needed the most attention. I did alot more work on her today but didn't get to take more pics but will take more soon to show what I have done today.

I am also happy to report that as of now even though the sunroof area isn't finalized yet, It no longer leaks water inside which is GREAT news and what I was shooting for obviously.. LOL Stay Tuned more pics to come in the next couple of days. bret

Thanks guys for the nice comments... If this rain would ever stop, I'd be able to get it done.. Unfortunatly I'll have to wait til Wednesday as the weather people are saying that'll be the best day of th week, but It'll be worth the wait. I also need to order the 2pc weather strip kit for the sunroof.. Almost there. smile.gif I'll keep you guys posted.

Got her top in primer.

Closer look at the top

Wet Sanding

Put 1st coat of Gloss Black paint + Wet sanded not shown in pic

Still Drying

Final Product

After waiting patiently due to the rain, I finally finished the sunroof area.. I felt that I could've taken more time to do it a little better, but It's pretty descent for now as eventually I tend to use an accual paint gun that I have, that I haven't used yet to paint the car completely, but that will have to wait til next year.. I still got to get a few things and do some little body work here and there, but hey atleast it isn't leaking anymore. smile.gif I tend to update this thread as I continue to do more body work in the future

Thanks again for the comments... Yes Thankfully It stays dry now in the car.. but I'm planning on this spring to redo the whole roof.. I found some others stuff I want to try out, plus I bought a gravity fed paint spray gun that I want to try out.. plus on top of that I plan on doing the whole car, but that project obviously will have to wait come spring as I don't have a garage... I look at it as I now have something to look forward to doing... bret

BTW.. to answer you question on what spray paint I used.. I used Rustolium Primer and black spray paint if I remember correctly... Hope that helps bro. pimp
