I think i decided

Well after talkin to a couple people and going for rides in cars im going to go with a GT40P motor...can get them completed from a junkyard for less than $500 with descent miles...but here is where i run into ?s...im carb'd so what should i run for an intake/carb...i also have a holley blue pump...would that be enough to get fuel to my carb or is it too small...also...would it be worth the $ to upgrade valve springs...rockers...valves and pushrods? if so what should i use? and also...would it be worth it to have the block bored out and get new pistons...ultimately i want to be able to throw a 150 shot into the motor without hesitation...so what do you guys think?

If you plan on boring the block and getting new pistons, You might as well use your existing block and start fresh. Why spend $500.00 on a motor just to tear it apart and start over. Use what you already have. If you just plan on throwing in the P- motor upgrade the valve springs and get a dual plane air gap intake if upgrading the camshaft. If leaving the stock cam in thge P-motor just use a regular Edelbrock performer as it makes power to 5500 rpm. The Holley blue pump should work fine. The carb only needs 5-7 psi the function well.

well i have an e-cam in it now but would like to get something new....maybe a TFS stage 1 or somethin like that...so basically what you're saying is just use my block and put the P heads on it rather then buying a whole other motor?

Why not shoot for something better? Sounds like another typical 13 second mustang to me......

u can get the tfs cam, but stock gt40ps stop flowing at .500 lift, so u can have the better cam, but it wont do ya much good, the ecam with stock rockers is a perfect match, if u get roller rockers ull be a bit over .500 lift with the ecam and have less drivestrain friction..i had the b303, gt40ps, air gap intake and a 650 holley, my car ripped nice and was a ton of reliable fun and sounded fuckin nasty
