Thought I'd give ya'll a Cali update. Just finished installing a 2.1 kB into my 03 2V GT automatic. I'm very happy with the results. It took me about a week for the install. I worked on it after work in the evenings.
I do have aftermarket exhaust. BBK Tuned length shorties, MAC Pro-Chamber and welded in flows. Other than that, just the blower and stock bottom end. I think I can get a little more out of it but, don't want to push my luck.
Pushing 400 RWHP with an automatic is pretty good so, I'm happy for now.

Nice numbers !! Congrats When ya going to the track ?
Soon. Waiting for this heat wave to head your way. We are hurting for 1/4 mile tracks here in Cali that cater to weekend racers. We have an 1/8 mile track that is open most weekends but, I like the 1320.
I picked the 2.1 up used from a guy on SVTPerformance web site. They are starting to pop up more and more.
Install was time consuming and I just worked on it in the evenings. It is doable if you have a good assortment of tools. The KB instructions are spot on so all you do is read and wrench. You will need some long allen wrenches. KB includes these as a part of the kit when purchased new. I needed a little help setting the heavy SOB into the car. I set a 2X12 on the radiator and the front of the block and set it on that. The wife steadied it while I got up and stradeled the strut towers. I just lifted it up and set it down in place.
Yes. For the 2V crowd, a 2.1, 2.6 and the mammoth 2.8.
Mammoth 2.8L big bore, 100% stock spec engine, no cams, heads, headers ect. 775 rwhp .... sick!
Well the short block better be forged !! Plus you will need a pretty stout fuel system to support those numbers ! As well as 116 octane race fuel . Do you know what amount of boost was neede for that number ? I'm thinking around 30 #'s .

my bad guys.. i jumped the gun.. I jumped on KB site and this post i made was for the 05 and up mustang 3v on thier main page. gettin back to the question about the 2.8L big bore.. yes there is one out now as stated above but not for the 99-04 2v .. the biggest they have for them is 2.6L ... again sorry for jumping the gun!
personally i wish i went with the 2.2 instead of the 2.8H on my terni, a waste of money, ive seen a similar setup with the out of prodution 2.2 with my mods with 35-50 less rwhp, as for the 2.6 for the 2V GT theres a guy in GA running it with stage 3 heads, cams, and built motor pushing 653rwhp on 20 or so #'s
