Those heads only come with 2.02 intake valves as far as I know. Unless you plan on fly cutting pistons, PTV clearance will be an issue. Spend a lttle more money & get TFS heads, a lotta head for the money & will clear up to .540 lift cam.

The heads you have can make alot of power if you have them worked . I had a set on an explorer short block . Stock GT 40 heads and a B- cam with a trick flow street heat intake and 24# inj. gave me 280 rwhp on the dyno . After I killed a couple of valve springs ..I had the heads gasket matched and had better valve springs and stainless valves installed . I also had the machine shop shave .020" off . Once back on the engine with the same internals ... It made 300 rwhp and picked up 25 ft lbs of torque too .
It cost me about 700. bucks . If I had them ported and polished it would have made even more . The cool part is when I opened the hood it just looked like a stock set of heads to the untrained eye . Which is a good advantage in the street racing world . Plus you'll be able to enter the factory stock classes with an advantage .
Also the money you save from buying the aluminum heads can buy you a nitrous kit .

Having suggested all this .... if you still have your heart set on the aftermarket heads . Then I would be very interested in your GT40's ... Pm me if you would like to sell . Thanks !
