so i found a guy that might trade my smashed fake lighting truck and my 91 lx roller for a running driving 91 gt 90k miles 5.0 5-speed with black interior car is red, what do you think good trade or no?
a smashed truck and a roller for a running car? This, TO ME, sounds like a no brainer.... assuming the 5.0 hes giving you isnt a total shitbox (rust and etc)
it has some surface rust on the fenders and on the frame rails but nothing thru the rails, in the bottom of the door housing it rust and 1 small hole under the back of the car is a little rusty is all surface stuff and the paint is all faded but has a mint black gut turn key motor and strong tranny
well ihave til the end of the week to decide the guy has to get the title, the truck has to be put on a frame machine needs prob 800-1000 worth of parts,tranny grinds 2nd 3rd and 4th but it does have a new v6 motor in it and it looks like a lighting, well i try to get my pics of everything up
Frame work is nothing when done by a competent frame tech. I would shy away. The car you are thinking about it rotted and although its got a black interior it sounds like a rot box. How is your roller? If you roller is clean tell him the truck for the GT and swap the GT interior and motor into the roller. That would the only way I would do it.
$1000 in parts to fix the truck plus some frame time, usually gonna run you $300-$500 for that. Thats what a faded rusted/rotting GT is gonna fetch. I think you are giving too much in you trade the roller and the truck for a car that needs just as much work as the truck.
your too cheap to ever fix the truck, and the "roller" has been sitting untouched for how long? get something you can drive.
brutal but honest, i like it, but actually was planing on fixing the truck i kinda like it i real do have the money to fix it right now been saving money by not going anywhere damn gas at 4 bucks a gallon
