what can a stock 2v hod for hp and boost i would like to supercharge it but dont want to pop it so what are some safe numbers and what kind of power am i looking also would like to do it as a complete kit
450 at the wheels is stretching it but it should handle it for a while with a good tune. There is 2 guy's on this site that both have 440-450 at the wheels. They run Pro Chargers And have been tuned by Dez. One is a 2-valve 99 G.T. The other is a 04 Mach I with a 4 valve and an automatic. Both have stock internals.

S trim, Novi 1000 and a P1SC will get you to your power needs. Then with a Peformance Dyno tune in the car you will be fine. 2 local mustang guys are running ebay intercoolers and are completely satisfied with them. One is on a vortech car and the other a paxton car. They are pleased with the kit. You can get them for around 300-500 and they perform just as well as the Paxton kit that runs you around 2000.
All that with the fuel system upgrades shouldn't be a problem for you to make 400 hp at the wheels safely.
Get a kit with an intercooler and something that will give you room to grow . Once you feel the jump in power ... your gonna want more .. trust me . If you just want to keep it simple .. then keep it around 10 psi . That should net you very close to your 400 horse goal . Also some kits are more complete than others ... Your going to want anyware from 38 to 42 # injectors and at least a 255 lph intank fuel pump . Some like the focus pump , but it is only rated @ 143 lph and not enough in my book . Something else to consider is the limits of your stock 80 mm mass air . It is only good for 350 ish rwhp before it will peg at 5 volts . Some have used as did I... a Diablo Mafia extender . What this does is fool the meter into thinking it is bigger than it is and will alow it to read the incoming air with out pegging .. but to a point . Some like to use the lightning 90mm air meter . However Ive seen them create drivability issues and are not a big fan of this option . I would use an SCT 2400 big air meter . It's good to 650 rwhp so no pegging problems and will give you room to grow should you go for more power down the road . Your also going to want to use a colder plug to keep the detonation away . I suggest the NGK TR-6 gapped @ .035" . As far as ignition ... I used the MSD coil on plug kit . They made my car run much better .. even at idle . Lastly your going to need a tune to bring it all together . Some like to use the hand held programers ... However I beleive in the custom tune . The hand helds are just to generic and will not give you as quality a tune as a custom one . One more thing to consider is the use of a quality fuel and always listen for detonation when into boost . That is the #1 killer of forced inducted engines .
Having said all this ... whew !! If I was to do a mod motor again ..I would highly recomend a turbo set up . They yeild way more torque than a centrifugal at the same amount of boost and this is what gives you that planted in the seat feeling . These little 4.6's need all the help in the torque department they can get . Plus you can keep your stock gearing for better fuel economy . Where as the centrifiagal blowers like steeper gearing to get them into boost quicker . Well good luck ! I hope this helped as much as everyone elses comments did .

Good suggestion's Nick ... But you do know that paxton no longer sells the novi 1000 !! They only offer the 2000 for the 2 valve now . Check out there sight and you will see .
just a simple question that woulda required a simple answer......the topic is blower ?

The topic is how much can a 2 valve take and what blower is recomended ! Not how good a powerdyne is ! .... So before it gets of topic ..start your own thread .

no I didn't know about the 1000. Its been a long time since I did a blower car. Learned something new. The paxton car I referred to has a Novi 1000 and I just thought he bought it new, obviously not!!
Myself I'd go turbo as well. B&G single turbo kits for 2V motors aren't much more than a blower and you will get so much more out of it if you want.
