Brake Bleeder Screw Stripped.. Need Help

Well I was bleeding my brakes the other day because the back drivers side line was replaced.. So anyways when I went to go and bleed the line on that side, I noticed the Bleeder valve was stripped to shit, probably from the rust or previous owner, So I went on bleeding the other ones which were fine, and I got lucky cuz now the brake pedal doesn't feel spongy, but to make a long story short, what can I do to get the stripped one off? It's stripped where the wrench supposed to go over.. Any Idea's? I know I can get new valves cheap.. but the old one I have a feeling it's going to be a P.I.T.A. Thanks for the help guys. praise2

I would use vice grips, but if its on the drums you could just replace the cylinder

Yeah it's on the back drivers side drum... I tried using Vice grips but it's such a tight area to work with I can't get no bit to grab it and pull out the POS bleeder valve... I just thought it would be more of a hassle to replace the cylinder.. But I wouldn't know too much about that due to the fact I've never replaced one before... I'll try again and if worse comes to worse I'll just replace the cylinder... Thanks guys for the help. praise2

Makes perfect sense.. I may just replace that instead of dealing with a headache of the valve.. thanks for the info bro.. bret

The have those bolt extractor rachet heads at sears. You could put one on the bleeder and hope it bites.

You'll need a replacement bleeder though waiting to go on

If it's fairly rusted I would just replace the wheel cylinder. It can't be more than 10-15 bucks....
