Turbo coupe turbos are too small. You can get a complete kit from B&G for about $3000 I think complete ready to bolt on. Some guy on craigslist has what looks to be an ebay TT kit wiht mustang headers for $1200. Will it fit? Probably not, but it could also be an intercooler kit with turbos and headers that he was going to try to make work. He lives on Cape Cod somewhere.
Not all turbo coupe turbos are too small. They are all too small for a single but if you get the larger Garretts that came of the manual turbo coupes. Two of them are just right for stock 302 block breaking power.
ya ur right will spend more seeing ur carburated, more money for a blow through carb, wich are redidculously expensive, money for some kind of wideband set up to attempt to tune it, amongst everything else u need and probly a good 300-400$ for advil for all the headaches ur going to get trying to get it to run right haha. im just sayin, for like 2000$ u culd get afrs, a new intake a bigger cam and a demon, and be happy with it and not be fixin it and tuning it all the time, AND most likely gain more power than that little turbo is gonna give you, when u get ur lisence back ur gonna wanna just get in and drive not worrying about all the bullshit that goes along with having a blow-throw carb setup, im not trying to talk u out of it, im just saying theres just better and easier ways to make power and cheaper in the long run

honestly, just do a different motor. That motor won't be worth it on a turbo because you are gonna break the block. You will not be happy w/ say 500 rwhp when all you have to do is turn a knob to increase boost and power, especially if you a T67 or bigger. Either do a dart block or if you want to really do a project a mod motor swap. Those blocks with the proper internals will handle the power.
Remember with turbos comes clutches, transmissions, proper suspension, sometimes custom exhaust work, tuning, chassis strenthening, fuel system, tires, brakes if you want to cuz the fox ones are terrible. I know I missed stuff but you get the idea. if it were me I would buy one of the many roller cars on corral or other mustang forums that have the fuel system and suspension already done. It will be more cost effective in the long run most of the time and you can still drive your car around while you put the other one together.
