my fathers first car was a mustang....he has a model of it in the living room i got my first job when i was 14 then saved 500 bucks and bought a mint 4 cyl notch i pulled the motor to do a swap.....back when gas was 105 a gal. well i made the biggest mistake of my life by making the yard a mess and in a family disfunction i got mad and took a sledge to it and completely destroyed it. now 5 years later im still chasing that dream...i got a hatch and it wasn't a conversion and it isn't yellow like i had my notch jambed out to be. but im tryin
my dad has been into mustangs since they came out in 64 1/2 and he has owned a 67 and 68 when he was younger then in 1996 he bought a 1966 that was in rough shape for me and him to restore so since 1996 me and him did almost everything thing to that car minus the paint, floor boards and things like that. i just loved the mustang shows and cruises since hes a member of mustang car club of new england and mca so we would always go to shows all over new england, this past winter we rebult the motor with aluminum heads, cam, intake, 750 cfm carb and theres always more things to do, and its always fun to work on his car and he helps me with mine, and the weekend cruises we go on with our stangs
heres what it looks like now and i dont have any pics of when we first got it on the computer
Went to the junkyard in Milford Mass back in 1975 with my father. He bought some mint black seats from his friends totalled 67 Mustang coupe. He bought the black seats for his 47 Ford Coupe which he still has. He let me take the Horse from the grille. I've loved Mustangs ever since that day.

Get on your knees so i can put this gun in your mouth
Ok mine goes like this...I was about 12 years old riding my bike around my road this guy "Retro" say's heyy come over here your running low on air so i go over i go into his grage an see his stang the blue one when he puting it all together..so i started to come over more an more hangin out takes me for ride gets on it with me thinking this shit is great..So now i am like 14 takes me to NED for the day i was hooked from there man i started seeing him doing race motor every few weeks..So Now i am 18 my dad gets a 96 white GT rims the works man was this thing a DOGGG sound good tho sold that got a 96 cobra had it 8 mos didnt want it anymore sold it to me i did my thing to it then i wanted a fox so i sold my 96 cobra got my new car 84 1/2 Gt350 doing a 347 that should make great HP..So that my story on how i got hooked...
at age 14 my uncle took me out in his 86 t-tops 306 with dart heads and we went to a parking lot and he started doin donuts and burnouts it was great, then he gave me a 1980 camaro with a 305....i sunk a bunch of money in it then by the time i got my licence at 16 the main bearing went. i said fuck gm im trying ford. got a capri and loved it. thats about it....and oh yea my dad is a gm guy....thats also y i like ford.
my father had a '73? mach1 and had to sell it when my sister was born. 11 years ago he received a bone stock '87 GT for his birthday and has since put stupid money into it. i fell in love and swore i'd have my own fox one day. how lucky am i to have gotten one as a first car?
well..my dad bought his 99 cobra when i was 15, and i told him id have my own someday..i searched craigslist looking for an older mustang (64-70) and i happened to start looking at fox bodies and they just grew on me till one day i found mine, a 91 lx 5.0 5 spd, and as much as my parents didnt want me to have it cuz its dangerous, i bought it as my first car.
My story is really quite simple. I love mustangs and I don't know why lol. My father is NOT a car person, he likes them but doesn't really care about them. He owned a old 60's impala (his first car!) I believe but thats as nice as it got. I knew the first car I wanted to own was a mustang although at the time I decided that I thought it was going to be a '65 fastback. Once I grew up a bit I realized that the Fox Body was going to be the only obtainable mustang for a few years. I guess thats it for my boring story lol.
my story is easy im realy a die hard muscle car guy with my dad having 442s and cutlass with 455s built and yes an olds his 71 442 when i was 16 lol well 3 years ago went 11.1s not bad for a street driven car all motor
but all in all olds and other gms are heavy and expensive if not a chevy so mustang was best bang for the buck and look at the aftermarket for these cars along with used parts people have 1000 at a swap meet u can build a mustang 442 like what i was grew around lucky to find anything

Well, my story begins in the '70's, as my uncle George had a '64-'66 Mustang (I can't remember which year it was), complete with hubcaps. I was 5 or 6 years old but remember liking that car. In fact, that era of styling was always my favorite and I build a few plastic model kit's of that style.
Fast forward to 1987 (I was 19 at the time) and I found myself looking at a used 1986 GT. It was White with the Black hood decal and had a Gray interior. It was going to be mine until I checked with my insurance company for a quote on the insurance. After regaining consciousness, I determined that it wouldn't be mine after all and I settled on a Ford Ranger STX instead. On the side, my brother and I built a '79 Ford Pinto Panel Wagon that had a 302/C-4 combo, then a 351/5-speed combo but it was still not a Mustang and I was bummed out.
In '92, I lent my brother $1,000 so that he could buy his '85 Mustang GT and when he was done, I got to ride in it. He then bought his '90 LX 5.0 and I got to ride in that too. I WAS HOOKED and determined to get one for myself.
As luck would have it, my uncle found me a Mustang that was advertised in the WantAd and it turned out to be my Cobra. My brother and I built it up during a 4 year period and I couldn't be any happier with the way it came out.
When I first got my license, my mom had a red 90 GT vert that she would let me drive occasionally. I always loved it, but she sold it and got a new vette. I got my own shitbox for a while, then I got a 86 Z28 which I totaled. Had another shitbox for a while until I found my 95GT in May'04 that I still have now. Its been through a lot of shit since then and is quite different now. Ill post up some pics of what it used to look like. Thats my story
Like most people on here my Dad got me hooked. When I was 10 he bought a bone stock 92 GT convertible. Originally it was supposed to be his every day car, didn't buy it to race or anything. Eventually he started modifying it and never stopped. We always would go for rides in it and go to the track and I slowly fell in love with all things Mustang. Meanwhile I got my license but couldn't afford the insurance on a mustang, so I settled for a Civic, which I eventually totaled and then got a Neon. Then I went off to college in Boston and didn't have a car at all. During that time my Dad got an 04 Cobra but still kept the 92 GT Vert. A few year later I found a Shelby GT 500 at a dealership in RI, and my Dad ended up buying that. When I finally graduated in May my Dad gave my the 92 GT Vert as my graduation present. Best present I got. I loved it and I am glad that it is finally mine.
in 1998 a friend of mine put $10,000 in to a 86 with a 347. he then needed money so i bought it for $6,000. it lasted me for years with no problems, i loved that car. then the same thing happened again. this time it was a different person with a 1984 all done up for the drag strip so i bought that. all this time goes by with my 86 sitting in a back yard and it gets all rusted out. now i pick up a 1990 GT to put the 347 motor in. i am sitting there with 3 cars and i see a 95 roll by that is sweet. so i sell the 84 and the 90 and i find a 95 cobra clone ready for my 347. that was a year ago. well i will have some time this winter to get the car ready for summer 09.
my dad had a lifted ford for some time of my childhood so i always preferred fords..when i was 8 years old his 1979 big block bronco got stolen and when it was recovered it was a mess he said i could have it or he was gonna sell it cheap so i took it ...i cut lawns raked leaves fixed lawnmowers and bought and sold dirt bikes and quads to make money until it was a frame off restoration i completed my self when i was 14 years old ....when that was done i had some room in the garage.. so i bought a 1990 notch off my neighbor for $600 i put in lowering springs in it and then sold it for $900 ever since then i have always had mustangs parked next to my bronco .. this car i have now will be the nicest i will have ever owned and it will be here to stay it is a 1990 notch 4 cyl car with factory black interior i bought a 1993 cobra with 18,000 miles and the complete drive train will be swapped into the coupe
i cant figure out how to post pics for the life of me

Fuck with me and i will do a drive by on your ass, BANG BANG!!!
My story on how i got hooked goes something like this.My family has always been into gm's so when i saved enough money i bought an 89 formula firebird...it was cool but my dad had a 91 camaro at the time and said hed sell it to me for 1000 and the car was mint. So i sold the firebird and bought that. I did some work to the camaro made it look sweet but it was it was a dog! Well my buddieTommy has been heavily into mustangs ever since we met in 9th grade. so He was always trying to convert me but what really did it was one day when i was like 17 or 18 i was comming home from work and the camaro didnt wanna run anymore. It was like 10 at night it was dark so thrasher actually pushed my car on 140 in mansfield throught the lights and my car didnt have any lights on anything..it was sketchy. anyways we ended up on an overpass and both said fuck this i called a tow truck and they were on their way. Between the time i called the tow truck and the time they arrived my and tommy were throwing shit off the overpass and just messing around. All of a sudden a car came cruising right towards us we both pushed eachother back and a drunk bitch totaled my car!!! hit his gt and slamed my car and kept going. tommy chased her got the plate and all that. I ended up getting 5k for that car which is unbelieveable. So while i was waiting for the check tommy said if i let you take my gt for a ride youll be hooked...so i drove it and it was the best time ever driving a car. So when i got my check i went out and bought my first one a beat to shit 1990 lx with a bunch of mods...it was fast itbut was a death trap. Now years later ive had many mustangs and i'm thankful tommy let me take that an 1992 gt for a ride!So pretty much i owe this whole obsession and hobby to him. Thanks tom.
Unlike a lot of girls it wasn't a boyfriend, or guy of any sort who got me hooked. Back in high school too of the girls in my close circle of friends were in college up near Epping, and wanted something less traditional than waitress to get through school. They thought the cars were pretty, so started working w/ NED. I'd go and hang out with them as we'd go out after, so I was sort of interested in car already, and started learning more, watching the cars race, learn about performance mods, etc etc. There was a night where there way a MINT 73 Mach 1 baby blue and silver, totally sweet, the sound of that engine totally turned me on (I don't mean that in a literal sense), ever since then I wanted a stang, and then went through a whole number of em Haven't been able to afford a Mach 1 yet, but some day.
always loved mustangs how they sounded and looked. when i was 15 i traded my dirtbike for a 88 notch with 308 new tranny rear end everything kid had 15k in it. after that it was all down hill now i finally built a turbostang!
My dad had a 1966 Mustang coupe with a well built 302 and a three speed. He had to sell it when I was born. In 1996 he bought his 1989 GT. Shortly after that I bought my 1986 LX with a 4cyl. The rest is history.
Not to mention my parents have been friends with Karl and his wife for about 20 years.
I"m a dad that got into mustangs back in 1971 when i use to watch upper classman in high school run all over the streets of warwick ri in 64s 65s 67s coups an fastbacks with there 60 seris tires an cherry bomb exhaust when i got my lic i spent one year in a galaxy 500 then my uncle sold me a 1967 289 gold coup with 25000 mi on it an i been hook ever since
well i guess it was only fate for me to be a ford guy since my grandfather owned a ford dealership. but it started when my buddy let me take his 89 lx for a ride. i can still remeber the first time i slamed 2nd and went side ways hangn it. i was hooked then me and a high school buddy whos first car was a 90 lx started hangn out more and more and we graduated started working and buying up car and strippn them selling parts and keeping what we wanted. things were going great. then in a tragic mechanical accident my buddy passed away, it was rough something ill never get over and ever since then i guess i just dont feel right unless i own a mustang haha. ive had all kinds years and body styles but one thing me and him always agreed on was you cant beat a supercharged notch. i built one and it was sick but just being young and agrivated i parted it out and kinda stopped messn with them for a year or so. one night had a strange dream and ive been back in the mustang game ever since. thats my story.

I always liked the looks of GTs, but I had boyfriend that hated Fords and preferred Chevy. Well when I was 19 I dumped his ass. A month later there was this guy who drove his 87 GT up on the walk way to the Fleet Tower (glass building downtown Worcester) to where I was standing with a mutal friend. THe stereo was loud playing Low Rider and the Guy was HOT.
I knew he'd be nothing but trouble for me, but I didn't care I gave him my number. It was only sweet revenge to start dating a ford guy when the Ex was into Chevy's. I learned to drive stick in that 87 GT and to this day it is still my favorite Car. LOTs of great memories in (and on it). I ended up marrying that guy and he bought me my first Mustang a 85 GT Convertible. Just a year and half ago he bought me my dream Mustang and re-built it to my liking.
If you ask Don he'd tell you that I only went out with him because of his car, but the fact is I went out with him because of how he looked in it.
My father had all kinds of hot rods while I was growing up. He took me to car shows and drags. Everyone back then had 5.0.s. I started working on cars as a kid with my dad and fell in love with it and mustangs. It's mustangs for life now. No other car for me! Thanks Dad.
