whys my car stumbling?

new plugs, new cap, new rotor, new wires, new throttle body, new mass air.

tps has been adjusted to .9 volts

car hesitates when stabbing gas in gear.

in neutral it revs very smooth

car also has adjustable fpr which is set @ 35psi *vac on / 42psi *vac off

new 02 sensors as well, with an off-road pipe so no clogged cats.

while it does hesitate, it will "regain" itself and begin to rev as it should

any idea's?

Try moving fuel pressure up to 39-40 with vacuum line off. Does it have any codes stored?

i have not scanned for codes, but last time i scanned i got a HEGO lean and egr not detected.

like i said though, new 02's and the CEL went away. EGR may be clogged but this is a real bad hesitation.

even lightly stabbing the throttle will almost make your head hit the steering wheel.

A couple of things to check .. how new or old is the fuel filter ? do you loose fuel pressure for a split second when you wack the throttle open fast ? Is the air meter brand new or just new to you ?
It sounds like fuel delivery to me . Could be the filter , a fuel pump on its way out , Or a dirty air meter sensor . You could try spraying some brake clean on the air meter's sensor wire . IF you used a freshly oiled k&n filter it could have gotten some of the oil on the sensor's wire when the car was running and muffed up the signal to the computer .

updated - driveshaft bolts were loose.

problem is still there, not nearly as severe.

im thinkin the bolts came loose due to me constantly bucking the car to diagnose the problem lol.

still has a violent hesitation on initial acceleration. i had my friend drive and i sat shotgun and noticed the rpm's will actually DROP when hitting the gas pedal.

now, this car did this when i first got it, infact it would actually die if you floored it. like the entire car would shut-off. sooo... thats when i basicaly threw the topend of my '93 motor onto this '92 motor. (mass air, throttle body, intake, etc...)

now before i did the parts swap, the car would die/stall out BUT it would not jerk/buck/hesitate. it would just instantly stall out or die.

im so fucking confused......

i havent checked the fuel filter but this seems to be a number of things going wrong at once...
