Latest clutch news

Well, my clutch its beyond horrible, Its funny to look at. I will take pics later on.

I also destroyed the flywheel

And..... blew another set of bassani cats. 3rd set
Instead of the RAM900, decided to get the Centerforce DFX clutch
Ford Racing Billet Alum fly wheel
Bassnai race tubes.

Car will be loud and nice afterwards.

Found a crack on my headers too. Gonna replace those down the road

I had the DFX and aluminum flywheel in my 02 when it was making 520 rwhp and didn't really care for it . It was real tough to drive smoothly . On take off it would chatter and it wanted to bog if I didn't rev it on take off . Which is fun for racing , but not really fun for around town driving . However .. it grabbed really well and gave no hint of slipping .
I had the Bassani x pipe with cats . Except mine came with the flow tubes as an option to running cats . I ended up using the flow tubes after my cats started to come apart internally . It was a little louder , but not obnoxious .

looks like a grenade went off in my cats every time.

See, I herd that about the DFX but anything will be better then spec. If this one blows, i am gong auto so i can see low 10's easier

i give you guys props on building the newer mod cars....i couldn't even put an x pipe on one with out loosing patience and this is w/ a lift. its difficult enough tearing those cars down to begin w/. never mind doing all the upgrades. good luck

Try looking into the Mcleode clutches . I had the stage 2 in the same 02 before I did all the engine work . I was making 394 rwhp with the mcleode and it was real smooth and had a stock pedal feel .
Are you still running the stock 10 spline input shaft in the tranny ?
I upgraded mine to a 26 spline hardened pro motion shaft . once you do this the trans will be good for 750 horse .
As far as the automatic .... I drove a blown notch that had a built aod and that thing was alot of fun !! I'm hoping to buy a s197 real soon . I plan on getting one with an auto . All i'm going to do to it is install a single turbo with a fuel system and thats it .

the tranny is the only thing left stock on my car and is running strong. So yes, its a 10spline

The Mcleod is awesome don't get me wrong but its not the money I want to spend right now. Maybe one day but the centerforce will do what i need it to do ya know.

thanks mike for the compliment. I personally think the mod motors are more fun to build.
