My car has been sitting for the last two months after blowing a spark plug out. I threw the plug back in with a helicoil but it's not sitting in there right. I bought a replacement head but I'm hoping someone can just re-thread the current one and do a lot better job than I did.
I'm calling someone tomorrow to see if he has time to do it but if not I want to get this back on the road asap as I wrecked my bike and have no other form of transportation other than the T.
I live in Hyde Park so if anyone is interested in some work and is close by please let me know. I've driven it a few times and it shot it out 2x more times so the closer the better but I'll tow it if I have to.
Please reply or PM me with price guesstimates and some sort of timeline. Thanks, Chris

If you already installed a helicoil and the plug still blows out then the head is screwed. The only way to fix the hole now is to remove the head and weld up the hole then start over. If you bought another head you might as well have it installed as the old one has to come off to fix it. It is very tricky to install helicoils in the mod motor heads. They made 3 different kinds that I know of just for the mod motors. Depending on the spark plug being used.

I thought they made a "big kit" for when tards like me tried to install a helicoil and messed up. How much would it cost in replacing the head-labor wise? If I have to swap the heads, I might sell these and buy just one brand new one from steeda since they already come fully assembled.

most major tool company's make a whole kit for repairing ford cyl heads....very common kit works well to very time efficient....look into that if you need to be back on the road quickly.
