really launch that hard? id be afraid of breaking something......i launch at 1200 lol maybee thats why ive been dissapointed with my 60ft times
yea...bunch of guy's i know launch there cars at 4500 rpm ...last time i was at the track in october ..i launched my car at 4500 with no problems ..may even had launched a bit higher when i was pissed off at it
I predict alot of tire spin and disapointing times . If you launch at 4500 with the 150 shot your just gonna blow the tires off and slam the rev limiter . Nitto drag radials suck in my opinion . Your probably making 290 ish rwhp with a good tune naturaly asperated and mid 400's on the jug . Not to mention the rediculous torque that nitrous makes . I bet you'll make over 500 foot pounds of torque !! .. on the jug of course ! I 've used Nitto's on my 86 gt that was only making 280 rwhp and they just spun and couldn't get traction . I also tried them on my 02 GT when it was only making 390 rwhp and I spun all the way through 3rd and this was only launching at 1500 . If you want to hit the low numbers ... Use real drag slicks or at the very least .. Mickey thompson drag radials . Drag springs and shocks would really help in the traction department , but if you don't have them ....then at least take off the front swaybar . It really helps to get the weight transfered to the rear wheels. Anyway all things being perfect ..... having good traction and not missing any gears ... also assuming that your t-5 doesn't grenade ... You should be able to click off a mid 11 at 115 mph .
Buddy of mine has a built 347 stroker on a c4 tranny with a 150wet shot. His best run with M/T slicks is 12.4.
With those tires. I say 12.7-12.8
Honestly
LOL .... I went 12:80's @ 108 with my 86 gt naturaly asperated and only making 280 rwhp !! ... Soo either your buddy can't drive or he has some traction problems . What was his mph by the way ... cuz this is really what tells you what the car is capable of .
i was running a similar combo last year and hooked up out of the hole no problem on the nito drag radials pulled consistant 12.3s and was running it off the rev limiter in 4th 4 way 2 long b4 i passed through the traps but i was running 4.10 gears and not 373's i was leaving the line at about 3-3300 rpm's

ive heard Nittos arent that great either...they seem to run kind of skinny too...my friends gilr has 315 Nitto radials on her LS1 and next to my 275s they didnt look much wider at all...then i put my car side by side with my friends 02 with 295 yokohamas and they looked ALOT wider than mine...who knows
I think you'll run 13.0's @ 106 on the engine and 11.80's @ 114 with the Nitrous. I think you'll be in a much better situation and switch your tires to Mickey Thompson ET Streets. I run those and leave the line at 5K with NO tire spin whatsoever.
Put in some good lower control arms too and you may get a couple tenths faster. All motor you are probably only going low 13's to high 12's. On the nitrous the car should go 11's. Will it go that fast, depends on you. You want to run a good time so don't be afraid to break the car. Run some better tires and launch at 4500-5000 rpms. Pedal on the floor and never lift off until the run is over.
Skeeter, man tell your boy to learn how to drive. Those times aren't impressive at all if its on nitrous. Either he can't drive or the car isn't hooking. Even n/a they aren't that great.
i agree. with papa on this. 347 on a 150 shot with a c4 is a 10.60-11.20 car. only issue with the car is going to be those shitto's. get some micky's drag radials.
