X2 ... I've dealt with Leanard's ... MPE .. and Dez . Dez by far makes the other two look like ass clowns !! The guy just flat out know's what he is doing . He has tuned for Manny Buginga and has done many tech articles for Muscle Mustangs ( that's how i found him ) . He is a great guy to deal with . You won't be disapointed . My boss bought my 02 GT and I brought him to Dez and he just bought an F1A blower kit for it ... here is Dez's number ..1-508-336-6588.. He is located across the street from Seekonk Speedway .

I have always heard good things about dez, i talked to them about my procharger and they were very helpful, didnt end up putting it on the car yet so no dyno experience with them. They were fast to respond and seemed very knowledgeable though.

Mike is cool to deal with. I brought my car there for a dyno session and tuning of both carburetors. He told me on the phone that it was $100.00 for 3 pulls + tuning. Well, he let us make 5 or 6 pulls and also allowed us to work on the carburetors (we had to change the jets on the secondaries on both carburetors.) He still only charged me $100.00.

Mike's tuned my buddy Ken's '04 Mach I (see above post by him) and my other buddy Brian's '99 ProCharged GT and both run great and scream at the track.

I've been there 4 or 5 times and don't have any complaints.

Dez is a very nice guy and always seems to have an upbeat positive personality. His tuning skills get mixed reviews from customers. I would go to him over Leonard's or MPE though. My buddy talked to Mike on some things, wasn't too impressed. One 10 minute conversation with Pete @ Performance Dyno and some research led him to choose a different tuner than Dez. I think if you compare him to most shops around he is more honest and probably has better turn around time. You could go to Laferriere to if you are in the area. Just be prepared to wait, wait, wait and then wait some more for you car to be done, but it would be done perfect.

Honestly the best all around shop you will find is CE Racing in Milford. He builds all of Dez's mod motors. I don't know how he moves so fast for a one man shop, but he does.

If C&E built my short block that I got from Dez ... then I'm not very impressed . Apparently the engine builder thought it would be a good Idea to use stock main bolts on a forged and balanced short block .
As far as tuning goes ... Dez will take the time to make it right . HE relies on air fuel and will give you a safe tune . Rather than try to produce a number that is unrealistic like alot of magazine's try to fool you with .

Not sure, you would have to ask Dez who did it. CE wouldn't build a motor like you described so I wouldn't be suprised if someone else did it. How long ago did you have it done? I don't think CE has always done Dez motors.

I live right near DEZ I have been going there for like well over a year even before I had my car. He is always busy but he takes the time to talk to you. And his two guys Brian and Nick are awesome dudes too. I honestly spent like 5-6 hours there a week just hanging out mostly. Dez even checked out my car and test drove it before I bought it. He is top shelf. And there is always some bad ass shit going on there. He also sells pit bikes too.

CE would never do that to a motor!!!! Bob and Dez work side by side and both are awesome shops. Both are the only ones allowed to touch my car. Great guys to ask questions too. Will always help ya out and be honest.

The way I see it:

CE Racing for engine builds and all work

Dez for all tuning

Skeeter and Nick are making me feel like I got hosed !!! I'm thinking C&E didn't build my engine and Dez used some cheese Ball to do it . Which is not cool considering the short block alone cost me 4 g's !! no.gif

You sure it wasn't one he bought already done from say VT or MMR? I don't see CE half assing anything he does. I would call Dez and ask. I'm sure he will tell you since its your right to know.

Tough to believe that Bob from CE would do that...Both outfits are class acts in my opinion. Both guys take the time to talk to you and come up with the best possible solutions to your high HP needs.
