Forgot to do this...

whats up guys, I am a non mustang owner here. But if I had to choose between the Chevy or the ford I would be a ford man. LOL actually I have few friends with mustangs and non which are internet savvy.

My car is a 1988 Nissan 300ZX Turbo, It is a Shiro Special that nissan released. We know of about 218 registered out of 1002 made.

Mine is #620.

"In Janurary of 1988 Nissan Held "A White Sale." As part of that sales promotion, Nissan issued a special Limited Edition of the 300ZX Turbo SE Model - Called the Shiro Special Edition 300ZX Turbo SE. Referred to as the S/S Edition, this car was painted in a special Pearl White paint (Shiro means White in Japanese). the Special Shiro Edition had the following as standard equipment:

No options; all are identical
- 1002 made between 1/88 and 3/88
- part of "Nissan White Sale"
- VG30ET engine
- 5spd. Overdrive Manual Transmission (stronger Nissan unit)
- Viscous LSD (8" Ring gear, 3.7:1)
- Larger axle shafts
- two-seater
- T-tops
- black interior
- cloth Recaro seats
- exclusive Pearl White paint (returned as a regular option for '89)
- exclusive white 16" wheels
- exclusive "European" air dam
- Analog dash (no digital options)
- AM/FM cassette
- non-adjustable Tokico suspension, very tight
- Thicker sway bars (ever larger then aftermarket)
- regular climate controls (sliders)
- priced $1000 over "normal" Turbo Z

According to the factory sales brochure, there was also a special Maxima offered at the same time. It was white (not pearlescent however) and featured a front spoiler. Mechanically I believe it was identical to a standard Maxima, and it wasn't a limited edition. "

Welcome...I'm not really big into imports but the 300ZX's are 1 of the ones I like, especially the mid 90's twin turbos. Thats pretty neat that its a special edition though. Engine work? Or is it all original?

No engine work, still factory inside, the factory engine could handle 500hp from the factory. the weak things are the pistons. The forged rods help.

Yeah same here I was never huge into V8 cars of yesteryear due to the interior trim being screwed in etc.. but I still I am a motor head and see past things.

I am a turbo type of person so a turbo V8 to me is sick. praise2

I get my import side from my mothers side of the family, my father had a blown el camino. Uncles on my mothers side did the import thing in PR. Mostly datsun Z cars and 510's.

I grew up around different types of cars import and domestic, rotary and piston. So I became a motor head. I appreciate cars for their mechanical abilities rather then their short comings.

Now if the ford falcon was here, I would like one :)

For being 20 yrs old it is very tight. More or less I am in the process of doing the suspension over (bushings mostly)

Talking about Z cars, Heres a '72 240Z with a 302 and cam.

302 240Z

Another with a small block 369: 369 240Z

Z guys don't discriminate (unless they are young 350Z jack ass owners)
