Hello guys, I am not a mustang guy but have friends and Know guys who own mustangs.I used to work at New England Dyno.

I bring news to you about the recent changes that got passed for Massachusetts state emissions.

All vehicles get a safety check.

1984 and newer diesel vehicles will get an opacity test.

Diesel vehicles that are OBD compliant (1997 and newer light duty
diesels) will get an OBD test.

Medium and heavy duty diesel OBD compliant vehicles will be phased in
for an OBD test.

1996 and newer gasoline powered light duty vehicles will receive an OBD
test.

Medium and heavy duty gasoline OBD compliant vehicles will be phased in
for an OBD test.

All diesel powered vehicles prior to 1984 and all gasoline powered
vehicles prior to 1996 are exempt from emissions testing.

This is news any car guy wants to hear! I figured I would post here too.. Just passing the word along.

inspections stations will do away with the dyno and sniffers. they will also have to complywith the new rules and changes by october 1st. There will also be a new sticker...

Now we dont need to worry about wild cams, egrs.. etc...

From what we know so far the date is October 1st 2008 for these changes. No sniffer test!

So 1995 and under vehicles, Emissions exempt.

that is sick. cutting it close with a 95. I took out all my emissions bullshit last year anyway.
