Moving Back To Mass....

This is more than likely going to happen between the end of May and the beginning of June. Needless to say I'm really excited, but yet I'm a little tepid....

Even though I despise South Florida and love Boston, I can't help but think about the things I'm not anticipating when moving to Mass; and the things I'll miss about SF. Namely the hot tanned-broads, and the mild winters.

Other than the obvious like going to Fens, the Razor, and the Garden; can you guys give me a little reinforcement for my decision to move 1,500+ miles North...

What, you don't like Escalades with dubs paid for with tax dollars? The Govizzle needs to roll in style you know.

Why do you want to move back? You said you don't like south Florida, but didn't say why. How is the job market down there? If you have a job and like it then stay there. MA sucks. Deval Patrick is a useless governor who won't do anything for the state and we are stuck w/ him for another 3+ years. Everything is expensive here, gas, real estate, food, etc. The roads are terrible and traffic sucks all the time. Every intersection that his 3+ ways gets a traffic light now to further prolong travel time. You like tanned women? Not around here. You will find nothing but snobby nasty attitude woman for the most part who do nothing but complain 24/7 about something. I have been to different parts of the country and I will say that MA is the the least desireable. I have been to California, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, Florida, New England states, and Illinois.

If you are financially stable down there then stay or if you really don't like Florida look into moving somewhere other than MA.

Wow, you guys really hate where you live huh....

I hate it here because much like you guys described Mass; there are no jobs, the traffic sucks, the girls are snotty c-u-next-tuesdays, you can't find a decent place to live for under $1800 a month, I paid $3.86 for 93 octane yesterday, and during the summer you can't walk outside without nearly dying.

My cousin said he could hook me up with decent work and a place to live, so I figured I'd give it a shot.....but the way you guys are talking, I'm even more on the fence.

You won't like MA any better, we have oppressive summers where it rains constantly. On average at least one weekend day will be rained out. You said you hate the summers cuz of the temps and I can relate after being in Tampa in July a few years ago. MA has a less severe summer, but an equivalent winter.

I would look elsewhere before moving here.

You make me depressed.

And as for the no good women, no offense to the gender, I don't think you will find anything but the filthy truth in any state in the U.S.

I will say that I don't mind living here but will be moving away at some point. I HATE the winter weather and despise Snow and Ice.

That being said. It is expensive to live here. The average price of a Starter home has to be somewhere around $250K - compared to 10 years ago at around $125,000. It's ridiculous! If I didn't buy my house back in 1994, I wouldn't be able to afford to live here. I know people who are paying rent on a 3 bedroom house and their monthly rental payment is more than my mortgage. That's insane! Other than that, gas, food, clothing, cars and other expenditures are pretty much the same as in the southern states.

The Carolinas have always had a good rep. I know several people down there that love it. You are out of MA, stay out of it and be greatful. I will say this though, our auto insurance rates go down each year which is a good thing.
