I called http://www.performanceautodyno.com/contact.html in plymouth which I think a few of you guys said to take the car there for tuning.
Well I called performance and to flash and tune the car its only $125 a hour. And if I pick up a snow preformance stage 2 MAF kit he will install it for $200 and tune it on the car. He said it should take about 2 hours to tune the car. So $250 to tune the car and $200 to put on the snow kit total $450.
Now MPE called them today $419 for the snow kit ( which I found them online for $379) and another $200-300 to install it and $500 to tune the car. Total ass fucking= $700-800 from MPE!
I had MPE on the phone asking them about price for a tune and this was after getting the other price and asked them why so much for a tune? When the guy in plymouth is $125 a hour for a flash same as you guys. He didn't have a answer just danced around it, I told him I could buy the software for $630 the same one they use. The market it is what it is abd they can ask that kind of money, but I'll be dam if I pay it.
You sure you weren't referred to Performane Dyno in Concord NH? That usually the the place you would go for a tune. No one else really worth it in New England other than XX tuning in CT. MPE is well known for changing prices and adding in labor. There are too many people claiming it has happened to them for it all to be made up.

Yeah someone gave that place as well. But this place in plymouth came up to I think, someone my have PM me on here about it.
Guy in plymouth was great said get a used hand tuner for my car and he would load on the tune when he is done and anything this else I do to my car he could just email me a new tune download it to the hand tuner and plug it into the car. And I wouldn't have to go down to the shop everytime and would have me money that way.
performance auto in plymouth is a good place to go also they know what there doing over there check them out. plymouth is alot closer than NH for some of us
The snow kit I have not got. I have a 99 mustang GT with VT comp 302 stroker kit forged,VT comp Blower cams,Titanium lifters and springs, port job, Long tubes, Allen 9 PSI blower setup, K&N FIPK, 75 TB, 80 mm MAF, UPR drag suspension kit, UPR coil overs front, UPR control arms, UPR K-member, custom sub frames,1800 stall with shift kit in the AODE, 373 out back on forged axles. And I am sure I am forgetting little stuff seeing there over 30K in part on her.
I 'm not a big fan of the meth injection . I've used it on two engines and had bad outcomes from using it . Are you still sporting the stock 80 mm mas air sensor . If so ...it is only good for 350 rwhp . It will peg @ 5 volts at that level . Some use the Mafia from Diablo to extend it a bit . But you might do alot better with an SCT 2400 meter . It's a 90 mm and will be good for 650 rwhp .

i would be very carefull with doing a tune that way ...nothing against travis as he knows his shit but i would not trust a tune without getting it done on the dyno so i know where everything is ...every car is different so a tune that he sends to you might work well on a car out west but not here ....every time my buddy added stuff to his car to the dyno it went to make sure everything was up to par

i have to agree with him!!! get the air/fuel dead on...
I went to pefrormance auto in Plymouth and would reccomend him to anyone. Travis's car ran in the mid 7s last year and will be in the 6s this year. And he has never hurt it, that says alot right there.
