got a question bout car stalling


just picked up an 88 with a 93 motor ...the car hasn't run in a while when i push in the clutch going bout 20 the car wants to die,or the rpms dive down and back up and almost stalls,is this timing or bad fuel, any suggestions????

Check for vacuum leaks. and check Iac.
also make sure it doesnt have a performance cam it. if its speed density.

Also check your T.P.S. Sensor ( Throttle Position Sensor) the voltage may have dropped and may be in need of adjustment, that can play a role to your issues that you described, and like Pitbull11 said, check your IAC and check your throttlebody, It may need to be cleaned with all that carbon build up, for that you spray and use Carb/Throttlebody cleaner... Here is a very helpful and useful link to this site it will tell you everything you need to know to do this.. good luck... P.S.
