just take it out and get a smaller belt...thats what i did

x3. you only need a delete kit for the AC and if youre gonna do that, just get the Ford Racing one and move the pump up, thats how the non-ac cars came from the factory, no point in having a pulley that does nothing on the top of your engine...
x4 i bought that stupid smog delete kit when i first got my car and it didnt even line up right, it was making the belt slide to the edge of the pulley. Smaller belt is the way to go
Run a string around all of the pulleys in the same route the belt would go. Measure it up, then id go to the parts store and get one exactly that size, one size shorter, and one size longer. See which works best. Then just return the other 2. Heres a diagram i found, the size may be off from what i remember, but its the belt route you can use.
