What have you guy's actually broken over the years in your Mustangs. I broke two left rear axles up at NED, I broke a ring & pinion up there too. I bent an ex valve in my old motor, I blew up 3rd gear in my old T-5. That tranny lasted me 8 years. other then that I've had pretty good luck in the last 11 years. I drive my car to NED and it is a 2 hr drive. When the axles broke I fixed one up there by buying a used one off some guy and I drove it home. When the other one broke it was in October and too cold to fix so I had AAA+ tow the car home. It cost me $9.00 for the tow. I live 103 miles from NED. AAA+ good for 100 miles.

haha i love this thread!!! on my GT blew the differential, blew the T45 tranny the day i got my full exhaust on, and blew the motor motor but had 118K miles of beatings... other than that everything has held together, the motto is break it and build it stronger! on the newly acquired cobra just the tires breaking loose hopefully nothing else!
when i first got my car i made the mistake of doing a rollback......rolled back then did a burnout, ya that didnt work out and i broke a rod and seized the motor, the only good thing about it is that everyone thot the smoke was from my tires
i killed a t5 so i got a 3550 and i killed a clutch thats all for me at the track on the road i split a head in half killed my rearend 3 t5s and thats all

I've been pretty lucky over the years, never broke anything at the track but destroyed stock 8.8 last rear, wheel hooped so bad twisted axle's & tubes right outta center section. Sheered stock axle in my 440 Dart, cure was Moser 31 splines. Blew stock 904 trans in my 340 Dart way back when. Overall I've had real good luck since I've been torturing cars since 1986!

Death is my art and I'm about to paint my masterpiece.
Last summer at New England Dragway, I broke the roll pins in the shift linkage inside my Tremec 3550. I lost first and second gear, so I drove home with third, fourth and fifth. On Route 1 in Saugus, we got off the highway to eat at Kelly's Roast Beef (a ritual on the way home from the track) and when downshifting, I realized that I no longer had fourth or third gears either. I coasted into their parking lot with the clutch pushed in.
We ate dinner and I got in the car and put it in gear before I started it. Luckily, first gear came back. I didn't hesitate and pulled back out onto Route 1, shifting every gear. I stayed in the left lane to avoid slower cars pulling onto/off Route 1 until we hit the Tobin Bridge in Boston. I went to downshift and realized that fourth wasn't there. I pulled up next to my brother and yelled for him to pay my toll because I couldn't stop and restart. He did and I cruised right though the toll booth in fifth gear. I was able to stay in the left lane all the way down Routes 93, 128, 24 and finally, Route 495. It dropped me off the highway about a mile from my house and I nursed it home in 5th gear from there.
Oh ya pete this was sum funny shit "SUCK'S" but still i still dont know how you made it from NED with what you had..None of that shit this year ok,We all drive up an drive home fine lol..
