Just to say you have a 351 in car, it's not worth it however if you were to do a 392,408,418 etc...then do it. There is a lot of shit you have to aquire/change over to get 351 in Fox.

i got a 410" Windsor from carb to oil pan, still on the engine stand. It cost the customer over 8k for it. It is just sitting there never been lit off. It is a legit 500 hp motor, built by SH Lapointe.
interested?

IMO.... id never out a 351 in a fox. unless its only purpose was to be an 8 sec vette killer, then punch it out to a 408. you can make almost as much power for less money if you stick with the 302 and make it a 331 or 347.

idk if any of you hear of this kid Keith from Attleboro.... but he had a green 86 with a 460. his last name skips my mind, but i went to school with his younger brother Jeff. but that thing was naughty!!!

Depends on what you are looking for and how much money you want to spend. If the car is already carbed there is not much to change to install a windsor motor in there. If the car is injected it is not feasible due to the costs of changing alot of stuff. If you did a carbed 351-w and did it right an easy 400 h.p. to the wheels is pretty attainable. Enough grunt to run low 11's on motor alone.
Things that need to be changed will be headers, Flywheel, oil pan + pick-up+ tube & dipstick. Engine front accessory brackets, Intake manifold. These are just some basic things that need to be changed. The motor mounts, Bellhousing, Throttle cable, etc can stay the same. Unless you want to install drop mounts. These are just the basics to install a windsor in a fox with a carb.
There is more involved with fuel injection swaps. Building a stock bottom end windsor with a good set of pistons is way cheaper then building a stroker. The block is alot stronger then a 5.0L Block. Just spend the money on the heads, Cam & Induction system & exhaust system. It is all in the flow (CFM) to make the power.
