Thats the right idea....

If I could do it all over again, id buy the m-2300k kit from Ford Racing. It makes life a lot easier when doing the install. That way you also get 4 wheel disc, with the right booster/mc, and cobra brakes.

Have any Ford Racing hook-ups?

These swaps can get so complicated...

It really depends on what wheel you want to run. If you're running a 17x8, then use the sn95 axles for the wider track width. If not, with the disc, you'll need the North Race car bracket for the rear calipers. Also, with the disc you'll need a different (93 cobra best*) booster and MC.

Let me know if you have any questions...

If you take your time and search around, you can find the parts for the m2300K kit cheap

i have 4-wheel disk Cobra brakes front and rear on my fox, and the related MC and booster hardware.

Total i paid was $700 for everything. I traded my pony wheels for my '97 Cobra wheels straight up.

The rear is the easiest part if you're using drums...

Just grab some ranger axles / drums from a junkyard....

I think when you get Ranger axles you need either 2 left or 2 right side axles.

You are correct.

From www.sn95brakes.com :

'83-'92 Ranger/Bronco II Left (driver) side axle (29-5/32") from a 4cyl or 3.0L V-6 with the 7.5" rear end, or '86-'97 Aerostar RIGHT side axles (29-5/32")

You will need the drums from either of these vehicles also if you are staying with rear 9" drums. The 7.5 axle Rangers & Aerostars use 9" drums. These parts are direct 5 lug replacements for the stock 9" rear drums on the 79-93 Mustangs.
