WTF MATE! i put my 3.55s in yesterday and the shit howling and whining like a mofo when i get up to like 3000rpm in 3rd gear, i did everything the best i culd with wat tools i had. idk im bringin it to a shop unless any1 has any tips

ya i built my whole car pretty much, so i figured i culd throw a set of gears in...well everyone told me i culdnt w.out the right tools, but being the thick-headed german that i am, i didnt listen, and of course, i didnt do it right, so after 400$ and a trip to taunton i had Ed Lenoard at Lenoards auto repair set me up good, better than 650-700$ Dez racing was gonna charge me(plus i had to wait 2 weeks) ed had mine done the same day i dropped it off....ed did a really nice job too no whining or howling at all at any speed, and i highley reccomend him for anything on your mustang, he has tons of used parts and can get anyting u need....so the lesson is...dont fuck with rear ends if u dont know wat your doin like me...cuz they mean business. save it for the pro's....

You're the first one I've heard to say anything good about Ed Leonard. He is a total piece of shit and I've heard more than a handful of people's stories about what a scumbag he is.
ya i mean, ive only been to him once so idk, hes wicked shady ill say that, i didnt get a receipt or nething, and everyone around here told me he was great. he did a good job on my gears, and thats pretty much the only thing i cant do on my car, so it had to be someone that new wat they we're doin, plus he had my car in and out in 1 day, u cant beat that....

Whats up Big Frank?? Did you use Richmonds or Motorsports??? I know the Richmonds whine like a mother fucker!! Shimming the Gears is key, I have seen some done and It looks complicated, Richie from RPM did mine.
UPDATE: haha i sold my car anyway and just picked up a 89 LX with 66,000 miles on it...but i put the fms 3.55's in it....lenords did a good job aside from the fact my diff cover was leakin after...anyways, check out my new car on my page!!!!!

`ya i only went there for the gear install and that car is long gone and still drivin perfect, so idk, but i wuldnt ever do a gear install again, id just buy a whole rear end and swap em out...anyways im goin to lenords today to buy front and rear sway bars that my car doesnt have, for whatever reason, some1 took them out and lennords has a set for 100$
